Speaking in a foreign tongue, she begins her speech. Drogon arrives from the sky and drops off Dany, who prepares to make a speech to her armies Mother of Dragons bout to go full General Hux We get a glimpse of Arya making her way through the city up to where Dany’s armies of Dothraki and Unsullied have gathered, just as Jon begins his march up the stairs to the palace – which is now draped in a Targaryen flag. Could have just had Tyrion discover the dingy on the shores, untouched. Tyrion slams a brick against the ground in despair, he is still quite sad, and the camera pans upwards. Because the fact we saw the entire ceiling cave in around that room doesn’t mean dick, apparently Jaime and Cersei could have avoided their deaths by merely moving over a bit to the right. He happens upon a pile of stonebricks on the ground with a gold arm sticking out and slowly digs up the remains of his siblings, tears in his eyes. He makes his way down to where Jaime and Cersei were going to make their escape before the ceiling caved in on them. Tyrion walks through the ruins of the Red Keep, again he is very sad, and finds a torch. Or what’s left of it, like how much of it can really be standing? Davos tells him to go speak with the Queen, and so he also makes his way to the Red Keep. Jon attempts to stop them, but the aggressive response by Greyworm and his host give him pause. Jon and Davos come across Greyworm and the Unsullied about to execute captured Lannister soldiers. Did Arya not run into them when she fleed with her horse? After about two minutes of this sad walking Tyrion makes his way to the Red Keep alone, and we are treated to even more sad walking. They even come across the corpses of the mother and daughter Arya failed to save. The episode begins with Tyrion waling through the ashes of Kings Landing looking very sad, followed behind by the equally sad faces of Ser Davos and Jon Snow. (To keep it simple I’ve written the recap in normal font, and opinions in italics) That essay will also be edited instead of a rant. Sometime in the future I plan on writing a full essay on my main issues with the show, perhaps an essay I will turn into a video, but that will be sometime later. I’ll begin with my usual recap/commentary for the episode, and then follow it up with a very brief bitching analysis. Especially sad when you consider it gave us six solid seasons of content beforehand – the first four being brilliant, and seasons 5 & 6 being decent. Too bad, then, that it will go down as having one of the worst final seasons in television history – up there with Lost, House of Cards and Dexter.

After nearly a decade, Game of Thrones finally comes to an end after 8 seasons.
